Our uniform consists of any Brownie top plus any Brownie bottom (most girls at Uffington wear the T-shirt, trousers and zip-up hooded top). These can be bought  at Top Sport opposite Waitrose in Wantage, online at http://girlguidingukshop.co.uk, or second hand via eBay.

I strongly recommend the addition of a badge sash as this saves a lot of grief when the girls outgrown their early uniform. I have a limited number of sashes in the store cupboard with the County and Pack tabs already sewn on at a price of £6. Footwear should be trainers or school shoes suitable for outdoors and running games: no flip-flops, crocs or furry boots please!

Girlguiding builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. At the core of this is the Brownie Promise symbolised by the trefoil. Membership is open to all girls who are willing to make the Brownie Guide Promise, regardless of faith or culture, and does not exclude those without a specific faith. However, as part of GGUK tradition, it still encourages members to explore the spiritual dimension of life.
